Earlier today, T-Mobile released its third annual Scam and Robocall report, revealing that Americans collectively lost $10 billion to scams in 2023, the highest reported number ever. Despite scammers changing their tactics, T-Mobile’s Scam Shield technology successfully blocked and identified 19.8 billion scam calls in 2023. This led to a 51% decrease in scam calls for T-Mobile customers compared to 2022. T-Mobile President of Technology, Ulf Ewaldsson, stated that scammers are evolving, but so is T-Mobile’s technology, allowing them to continuously improve their scam protection efforts.
